I'm usually a 26-27 in jeans, waist measures 28" and hips are 35", I ordered a size small first but it was too tight on my hips so I exchanged for a medium. Saltwater, please add actual measurements to your sizing guide! I ordered based off that/the model sizes, but jean/pant sizes vary wildly so having an inch/cm guide would have helped a lot. The medium is perfect on my hips (it sits high, almost on my natural waist) but there's definitely a little bit more fabric in the back than is flattering for me and once I was in water I found myself needing to adjust. (I do think the style just naturally bunches though!) If you're worried about it being tight but plan on wearing to actually get wet, I think you can count on a little bit of stretch/relaxation. Haven't washed yet so I'm not sure how that will impact. TL;DR: if I had a little more booty it'd probably fit perfect, but the cut and quality of fabric are great so I'll be keeping and resign myself to adjust the backside when wearing.
