Accurate timings, nose section a little fiddly

The estimated time was very accurate. Even while trying to work quickly, there are quite a few rounded edges to cut which take some concentration. I made the Herakon mask in around 3hrs 30mins, feathers included. I think I may have glued the top of the nose section a little too early, as there were a few tricky folds while connecting the final two pieces together, but I managed to get through it. Very pleased with the result! I wore it for about an hour to a halloween party with great reviews, and now it lives on top of a lamp casting spooky shadows across the wall.

Fun build!

This was so much fun. It was like building some thing with Legos only with cardboard and glue. My advice would be to take your time and trust the pattern; don’t force things or overthink it. There were a couple of tabs that I folded as a valley, but should’ve been folded as a mountain or vice versa. Wood glue makes a much nicer product than hot glue, in my opinion. Applying wood glue with a little paint brush was helpful. I used cereal boxes and when finished, painted it with spray paint and a layer of acrylic craft paint. I think I’ll buy some more to build just for fun!
