Java Santos Coffee

I found this coffee was strong with very good body and flavour and gave it 10/10

Been buying Java Santos from Coffee Direct for a long time - always excellent coffee and service

Very similar to Old Brown Java but without the noticeable smokey taste as well as less obvious oil on the beans. Ground my usual 18g in a 36ml pour which produced a nice crema and a decent overall taste. A marked difference to my last purchase (Italian coffee) although that was to be expected. I settled on a 15g grind and a 30ml pour for a cappuccino as the roast is dark and can stand less beans for a double shot. However, this blend is quite bitter if taken as an espresso so really needs tempering with milk. A decent brew if you like a strong coffee without the overpowering nastiness that can occur with dark roasts - think Old Brown Java has the edge though.
