Very thick for a midweight sock!

I have found that these sock are so thick that they can make my boots tight and then my feet get hot. No blisters yet but they are uncomfortable for warm days when my hike has a lot of elevation gain. They take so long to dry after washing that I put them in the dryer twice and then have to hang them on the line outside for several hours.
