I have been suffering cramped, shrinky-stretchy athletic socks and fragile hole-popping dress socks for years...at no small cost, by the way. I wanted to go old school, I had just purchased a pair of high top Converse sneakers, but they did not look right, then I remembered, wrong sock look. I wanted the socks that scrunched down to the top of the Chucks, circa 1960's sand lot.
