Shipping was swift but the scope did not perform to expectations in image quality. This is not my first copy of this scope and when it does not have quality issues, it is a fantastic instrument and great value. I have seen complaints about the hex focuser but i find it completely adequate even with a heavier image train. The rotation of whole focuser is a bit of a drawback (but i added a separate rotator) and the thread requires some pricey adapter. I use adapters to get to M63 and that gives you good options for flattenera and reducers. Red Carpet Optics facilitated a return quickly. Will definitely consider the store again for future purchases, but wish they had more selection (no Starfield stock as of time of writing).

I purchased this scope over the weekend from another online competitor that showed it was available online. 3 days later I get a text that my order was cancelled so I started looking online and found redcarpettelescopes and it showed they had one available. I called and immediately spoke to someone who said he would check his stock to make sure there was still one available. Within an hour he called me back and confirmed. He was even kind enough to hold for 1 day while I was waiting for the refund from the other company. Excellent customer service and will be doing business with redcarpet for now on.
