Regarding the 900 Watt Model

I purchased the unit to prevent even minor computer interruptions caused by land power fluctuations which are frequent in my area. In my opinion the build quality of the unit exceeds other UPS units offered by APC. The one issue potential buyers should note is that the Battery Backup Power 900 watt unit produces some noise (less than or equal to 50 dB.) The noise is a ‘quiet humming' and if in a quiet environment can be distracting. I have mitigated the issue by locating the unit 6 feet from my desk and installing two acoustical panels. This has not eliminated the noise but has mitigated the distraction.

Exactly what I needed to protect my network from a fluctuating voltage issue. I should get more of these.
