Pine Tar - Shaving Soap

Pine Tar Goodness!!!

First off, I have been using Grandpa's brand soap for years and I love the sharp smell of Pine Tar. It isn't for everyone, but I dabble in soapmaking and have been looking for a good shaving soap with a pine tar component. Chiseled Face's formulation is near perfect! It lathers really well, provides a slick cushion that is the cornerstone of any good shave, and has a good pine tar scent -- very masculine, without being a perfume. Think creasote, think utility poles in the sun, think a wooden pier on a summer afternoon. This soap brings the goods! I have tried several Chiseled Face shave soaps, and this is my favorite. Magic!

Best performing shave soap for my sensitive skin. Pleasant earthy scent, awesome lather, leaves my skin feeling smooth and comfortable. This has pushed out Martin de Candre as my go-to soap.

Another great soap

I am always kind of freaked out when I open this soap. It smells like the chandlers shop I knew in Key West and not like something you'd put on your face but it's a wonderful creamy soap. when you whip it up. This soap has become another one of my very favorites from CF.
