Second pair

This is my second pair of Explorers! I got my first pair in 2018 and have lived in them so they are a bit beat up. Needed a newer pair that can be used in dressier situations.

This was really beautiful, and while I love them they are really difficult to get on. The issue seems to be around the ankle part of them. I have very thin legs and usually have an issue getting boots slim enough. This just fit my leg. I’m assuming with time they will stretch. I am a size 4 and the foot part in size 4 in these fits perfectly

The leather seems to be somewhat “distressed” and I don’t think that was the intent. Lots of marks and imperfections ~ and I get that leather can have natural imperfections. Zipper is a bit worrisome. It catches against the leather and there were a few stitches and threads in the way of the zipper. Things I would think wouldn’t pass quality inspection. I question if these were “seconds”. They are beautifully looking boot. The sole is solid. Fit is fantastic. I had I’d seen these in person and had the opportunity to try on. I wouldn’t have purchased.
