Vision Solo

Right after I got Vision solo strings I would have given them 5 stars - fast break-in time, lovely, warm sound, nice response, but I just didn't get around to reviewing them. Glad I waited. After 3 weeks on my violin they lost that initial vibrant sound and became much less responsive. Just to make sure it wasn't a function of the weather or something, I threw on some old Eva Pirazzi's and my violin sprang back to life.

I have ordered from Concord Musical Supplies regularly since the late 1980s and they have always provided excellent service, reasonable prices and a wide variety of string supplies. This time I ordered Vision Solo strings, my go-to brand. As a professional orchestra violinist, these strings are even and rich in tone; they are powerful enough to play a concerto, but flexible enough to blend in during quiet orchestral passages; they are reliable and don't take long to break in.

Wonderful strings!

I bought these to replace a set of Dominants, and I couldn't be happier. They have lovely tone colors, and they don't get "fuzzy" as you get into higher positions on the lower strings. The E really sings. Very responsive, easy to play. Highly recommended!
