Monal V2

Good News and Bad News

The Monal V2 is a beautiful and well-crafted hide. Even after watching all the videos, I didn't realize it was unsuited to an old coot who had trouble bending. Had difficulty attaching the rain fly and even greater difficulty entering into the hide. Those things certainly are not the fault of Tragopan. Blame Mother Nature! Gave it to our son who is an accomplished photographer in his own right. If I weren't so infirm, I'd love it to the moon!

Very complete setup.

To be totally transparent, I have not yet used this blind. But on the flip side, I have purchased both the Hokki and the V6. They have both proven to be well thought out with the viewing ports and other openings in very convenient locations. The reason for the purchase of this blind, is that I will be with another person this coming Spring as we continue with our project photographing the nesting wood ducks. I have placed the blinds in strategic locations around the small pond in advance of the season. This will enable the waterfowl to become quite familiar with their presence. This method was very productive last year. This year storms have come and gone and the blinds are checked on a regular basis. They are dry inside and are enduring the wind and rain quite well. Shooting should commence in another two to three weeks. Two brief notes about the blinds. One clear and outstanding feature that literally every company does with their transport cases for their equipment is make them just so that is takes two people and a small elephant to get the gear in the stuff bag. I really enjoy the extra space you provide as I add extra camo, tether lines, and a small stool to the bag. And there is room for it all! Bravo. If I had any recommendations for changing anything, it might be that the blind was just a couple of inches taller. Not a big deal as I usually shoot low to the ground, and I now use a lower turkey lounge chair. Thanks again for a great product. I would have attached some of the images I have captured so far, but there isn't any place here to do that.

Great Nature Blind

Very roomy for 2 shooters. Well made product, easy to carry, multiple shooting options and very sturdy. Would highly recommend for any type of animals.
