Bought these at a market in Portland this most recent December (2024). The seller didn’t tell me the price until right before letting me tap my card (despite me asking 2x). During the speech he insisted that they were real leather and quality gloves.
Since purchasing these gloves in December I have worn them twice. Both times they have left excessive residue on my palms. One of the zippers has already broken, which is incredibly upsetting seeing as I was only wearing them for photos and not even using my hands. The finger slots are not sewn over (at least mine aren’t, though they are in the picture on their shop) they’re loose which has led to faster wear and tear as well.
At most, I would quote these gloves as being worth $40, maybe $60 if I’m being generous and assuming they’re actually handmade. But showing these to my leather making friends, they barely agree with $40. Not worth the $170.
