Lyra | 1 1/4" Hybrid Rubber | Med. to Hard | Xylophone Mallets

These mallets are honestly way better than I expected them to be. They're heavy, which is exactly what I like, and the way they just travel across the xylophone without any effort is great. They're not very hard, but they're hard enough to produce a sound that cuts through the ensemble at loud dynamics. These mallets produce a very warm tone while still having a bit of edge. They're also fantastic for wood blocks, and produce a beautiful legato tone on glockenspiel.
