I purchased this for use in an MD2 in case I ever need to use a battery brand that is slightly longer than my preferred brand of protected battery. Rechargeable batteries from different companies can vary in length quite a bit.

Glad I took Genes advice on getting this for my MD3 body he recomended I get it due to the inconsistent sizes of battaries but the main benefit for me was the gripping surface that it provides specially when holding the light between fingers. Im glad I took his word on this one, thanks Gene !
