It’s more of medium roast, still being delicious with a slight chocolate note. I enjoy blending 50/50 1776 and Brutal Awakening together into a big mason jar. Best coffee in the world

So far the 1776 blend is the best coffee blend I've had. Strange Animal cuts a close second place but it was just right to have the 1776 on Independence Day 2026.
