I bought new Amals about 8000 miles ago for my Norton 850 and it had the chrome plated slides. The chrome was peeling and making slides stick. Chrome doesn’t adhere to aluminum good so figure that why were peeling. Chrome to brass is so much better so wanted chrome plated brass slides and Eurotrash has them at a good price. The peeling Amal slides weigh 90 grams and these brass ones weigh 120. I liked the heavier weight too. They fit really well with the choke slides and all and the old 850 is running great. I would add photos but this review thing only allows videos, but the old Amals look ugly and these new Wassells are beautiful!
