100% Kona Hawaiian Coffee

It's not like it was, it's burnt now

I used to order Keala's pretty regularly before. It was a light roast that tasted amazing. I've ordered it twice after not having done so for a couple years, and now it seems to be a medium/dark roast. First order was Drip Grind, I figured I might have been overextracting it with my pour over as the Drip is a medium grind and I need course. So I ordered Whole Bean like I used to and it's just as burnt. 7 Roasters will not respond to support either, so that's fun. Expensive coffee for burnt, at least this one was on discount.

I have brewed several cups now using different methods (water temperature, water source, ratio, etc.) and all have turned out bitter and undrinkable. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this coffee, considering its price. The last time I ordered this 100% Kona was in 2020, but I distinctly remember it being much more pleasant and enjoyable. I'm wondering if anything has changed with the supplier or roasting methods since then, or perhaps I got a bad batch. Either way I'm very disappointed. I'm even more disappointed that this company doesn't seem to care at all about their customers. I reached out via email and got no response. I reached out via Instagram and again, no response. It has been well over a month. Appalling customer service.
