BMW R90/6 Battery Tray

Great quality part in milling, manufacturing, and finishing. Quickly processed, shipped, and delivered with in just about 3 days. The battery I bought from the list of confirmed fits was a perfect fit with the provided retention plate and bolts. Fits nicely and snug under the tank. Needed to slide the double pole ignition coil completely forward in its slots and it fit perfectly. Great custom look and part. Thank you!

Great part if you’re prepared to work for it

This is a nicely machined part from high quality aluminum, which allowed me to drill and tap 2 M6s easily. I was not prepared to do the necessary modification to fit it in the location under the tank. It would have required relocating the coil brackets because they are in the way of the battery, and removing the choke housing bracket. In the end I decided to use this to mount the battery on the bottom behind the gearbox. It looks really clean, and I’m happy with how it turned out. I’m giving this 4 stars not because of the quality - that’s a 5 - but because of the lack of description on the work involved for fitment.
