I bought some decorative washers and carriage bolts/nuts for a wedding arch I was building with reclaimed lumber. The finished product was greatly enhanced (albeit subtly) by the rustic hammered, bronzed hardware .. exactly what I had envisioned. Hi-quality steel products, finished nicely. One caveat .. order early for anything that needs to be cut-to-order .. and expect the longest possible lead time. It can take a while, but it's worth the wait.
