Customer service and followthrough is lacking

When I first called to ask a few questions, I spoke with Amy and hung up more confused than when I first called. She was unable to answer some basic questions, and did not provide the follow-through that I needed at the time. The angle irons were shipped without a call to me BEFORE making my items (I requested this and was even told where to put the information, but it was ignored). I wanted the ironsmith to call me first to be sure he got it correctly done. He never called and the order arrived with errors in it. To add insult to injury, I was told I would need to pay an additional $22 to correct my order - even though my order was paid in full and all needed information was on the order. This error was not mine, and it was bad customer service to expect me to pay for your error. Additionally, when we initially called for help, Amy offered to send us a sample of the decorative screw heads we wanted. We thought, oh cool! but...Amy charged us $12 for 2 little screws that weighed nothing. My bottom line is this: The items, when finally corrected, were very nice. However, I will not use this company again due to their lack of basic knowledge of their products, poor customer service, inconsistent responses to inquiries, and a failure to correctly fill my order requests even though I followed Amy's instructions every step of the way.
