These are going on a high-end custom build precision bass. They are the perfect compliment to the other refined components.

I love the high gear ratio.

My 1977 Fender Jazz bass had a bent shaft on the G tuner and the rest of them were getting too hard to turn for these old fingers. The higher gear ratio on these makes them much easier to turn and the tuning is much more precise now. It used to be always going either too high or too low. Now they very smoothly adjust. They weren't exactly an easy drop in replacement though, the bushings were just a fraction of an inch smaller so i had to use a press to pop out the old bushings, drill the holes out to 11/16" and use the press to push in the new bushings. The new gear plates were smaller than the originals so the screws required new holes. You can see the old holes but i will probably fill them with wood filler.
