Child's Red Velvet Cape With Hood

Beautiful but heavy and synthetic

Although this cape is very pretty and well made, I was surprised about the synthetic fabric. I wonder if that is why the fabric components were not listed on the website description. I assumed the material would be cotton like the other capes from that manufacturer. I couldn't return it because it was a gift that I had sent. The fabric is way too warm to wear in hot climates outdoors and it is heavy for the size of the child. Instead, I recommend the other capes from the same manufacturer that comes in pink and purple. They are 100 percent cotton and very light.

Granddaughter Loved It!

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She loved it. She called it her "invisibility cloak." She wore it as she opened all her other gifts.

Childhood dream!

Beautiful red cape! Brightly colored and it shimmers in the sunlight. My daughter was Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween and it worked lovely. More than that though, she can continue to use it for play. I recommend getting this when your child is young, maybe 5 years old, so they have some years to play with it. My daughter is 7, and although she will probably use this cape in her imaginary play for some time, I am just not sure how long. But I am DEFINITELY keeping it for grandchildren!! Well made and the velcro on the neck feels very secure and can withstand repeated usage. Love Bella Luna Toys!! OH, I introduced the Candy Fairy...(putting halloween candy under the bed for the Candy Fairy) and it was a hit! The fairy gave her the Ostheimer horse, and she was ecstatic! She knew the fairy got it from Bella Luna Toys however! (Maybe not share the goodness of BLT until they are older. HA!) OH OH Idea: I think children would enjoy youtube/bellalunatoys videos just for them...Sarah as the teacher! Perhaps painting time, where you lead the "class" as you have done in school settings. My daughter would love it! She thinks your voice is so calming!) She put MORE candy under her bed the next night too, and I had to oblige with a playsilk (I had one stashed for Christmas). :) I wish everyone would become a believer in these gorgeous toys!!! Children are amazing and they deserve amazing things!!
