The Orphan Gospels

Wonderful, quality items!

I have purchased a variety of items multiple times at the Papillon Marketplace in Haiti and their online market. Everything I have purchased is precious, as it has been made by the creative team at Papillon. Whether is was handcrafted jewelry,metalwork, mugs, coconut nativity scenes, wallets, bags...it has all been well made. Most importantly, to me, I know I am helping men and women who are are working hard to provide for their children and families through my purchases. I have great satisfaction whenever I see these items on my wall, the mug rack, wearing assorted jewelry I know I have played a small part in helping others. This is such a worthy effort, and I love that anyone can purchase hand-made items knowing they, too, are supporting Orphan Prevention.

In this book Shelly says it like it is. In our human nature we want to oversimplify the massive problem and have some kind of quick fix. Shelly takes the time to spell out many of the misconceptions and complicated challenges. She also gets very specific on what does and does not work in trying to bring change. She draws it all together by helping us to see what we CAN do to make a difference.

The Orphan Gospels Book

The orphan gospels book is a great read. Hearing the stories of the children and their mothers in Haiti pulls at your heart and makes you want to help in anyway you can.
