I maybe have a strange use case, but I do a lot of astronomical sketching (sketching what I see through a telescope at night…with only a very dim red light). I’ve tried a bunch of different ways to keep my pencils and brushes organized over the years, but all have been somewhat clumsy and prone to losing a pencil in the dark. I found this product and then I made a wide area of Velcro hoop tape on the side of my sketching board and attached these pen loops, and it’s been awesome! My whole sketching kit is really organized and self contained now. I also bought the mesh pouch nearby on this site, and love that I can rearrange things quickly if needed.

Purchased to attach to the back of a folding clipboard using adhesive loop tape. Worked perfectly. Well constructed with quality materials. It's a darn fine pen holder.
