Fulfilling my dream of Roman glass

I've longed for some Roman glass for 15 years or more, but it has always been beyond my reach. I'm so happy to have these beads! Their colors and sheen are beautiful. I wish I knew more about them, their specific origin, how they were made, etc. -- and how old they really are, because it's hard to believe that I can actually afford to own something made a couple of thousand years ago.. But I love them, whatever their provenance!

so many broken ones!

Too many broken ones. More than half of them were chipped and broken. Found the pieces of at least 5 broken in half and in the bottom of the bag. And, they are much smaller than I realized. But, I'll make them work. Loved everything else.
