I was disappointed with the feel of the ‘rubber’ strings on my u bass so decided to take the plunge and switch to these. They are fantastic high quality strings that play and feel great. I’m going to play cafe gigs with them with my band, and I will feel a lot more confident with these than the rubber strings. They somehow feel more reliable, giving your fingers more of the feedback you expect if you also play full size bass (which I do). A delicate touch is still required however.

Hard to beat

I've tried them all, these are comfortable, durable and fit perfectly on my bass. They are costly, but should last a very long time.

Best choice for upright players with Kala U-Bass

These work for upright players looking to say goodbye to those nylon and synthetic strings that take 3-4 days to stretch and settle in place. With my first set of these I had my U-Bass in tune in less than a single day! The set I recently ordered (my third set) was bought during a recent Kala sale and will be saved for later.
