Kala Flatwound U•BASS® 4-String Set by Gallistrings

Like the sound...

I like the sound of the flat wound strings on my Kala UBass 'Nomad", - brighter than the synthetic ones that came with it, but find that the sound of the E string is still a little muddy until the 3rd fret. Any suggestions?

String Change

Changed from the rubber to flat wounds. Awesome sound and easy to slide. Took my Ubass camping, so I could practice and even the insects stood back in awe.

U Bass Flatwounds

I was disappointed with the feel of the ‘rubber’ strings on my u bass so decided to take the plunge and switch to these. They are fantastic high quality strings that play and feel great. I’m going to play cafe gigs with them with my band, and I will feel a lot more confident with these than the rubber strings. They somehow feel more reliable, giving your fingers more of the feedback you expect if you also play full size bass (which I do). A delicate touch is still required however.
