Rotring 800 Ballpoint Pen - Black Ink - Silver Body - 1.0 mm

Fantastic pen with a more premium feel. It is all brass, feels pretty weighty which I like for my pens, and also unlike the Rotring 600, the tip retracts so it is more pocket safe. The twist action is satisfying. The Rotring ballpoint refill that came with the pen is sub-par (hard starting, skips), but I replaced it with a Schmidt P900 F refill in blue and the pen is a great total package now. FYI for those who don't know, this pen takes Parker-style ("ISO") G2 refills, which are completely different to Pilot G2 refills. Other users have complained of tip movement which produces clicking when they write, and also movement of the knurled part that twists. On the first point, I write with such light pressure (normally a fountain pen user) that I don't experience any tip movement or noise. I did notice the knurled twist part has some movement when the pen is extended, but when the pen is retracted it doesn't seem to move. Either way it doesn't bother me. Overall super happy with the pen and expecting to use it for many many years to come.
