Shino-Yaki Ceramic Travel Cup

I was one mistaken by thinking that one of the cups I’d bought from pottery for the plant must have been mass produced it was so good. I have never been disappointed by this company or by the cups that I have purchased from them love the cups and the company values. 10/10 quality, service and ethics.

Gorgeous travel mug

I got a 12oz shino-yaki travel mug, and it's just lovely. I got a matching heat band to go with it, which works perfectly, but the drawback is it covers up the beautiful mug (sadly the most characteristic section of the glaze is covered by the heatband). The lid works really nicely - reasonably easy to put on and off with a nice working seal (I have another travel mug with a silicone lid that just doesn't seem to seal as well, resulting in spills!). It's obviously heavier than a plastic, or even some comparably sized glass, travel mug. The only thing I didn't consider, and I'm kicking myself for it, is that it is too tall to use in my espresso machine. It's too tall. I think the 8oz mug is also too tall. Still, this is a beautiful mug that I am very happy with.

Japanese aesthetic love…

I love all things Japanese-aesthetic, and my Shino-Yaki mug taps into this for me, every time I use it (which is most days…..!). I love it!
