32 inch Hickory Better axe Handle

This “Better” handle was outstanding. With a little light sanding and a few coats of Tung oil It came out beautiful. Took a little shaving and sanding to get a good fit in the vintage man edge tool company Knot Klipper 4# Michigan pattern axe head. It had beautiful straight grain and was shipped quickly. It is pictured here on the right next to another Knot Klipper once owned by the renowned Timber Tony from here in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. That’s another story for some time down the road.

Amazing Handle

I am amazed at the ergonomics of this handle. I mounted a 4lb collins legitimus double bit michigan pattern head. Now it's a laserbeam.

Old axe new life

Order was made. Delivered in a couple of weeks. Replaced old handle in double bit axe that was given to me by my grandfather in 1990 and extensively used in Aggie Bonfires 1991-1995. Handed it down to my son. Old handle was a bit rotten. As good as new and probably 75 years old.
