The basic pitching machine seems to do a good job with pitching in the higher speeds 8-10 with a yellow dimple ball. Lowe speed pitches require a lighter ball the orange balls to throw consistent pitching heights with the lower speeds on the machine because the heavier balls will drag too much on the wheel and slow it down. Otherwise, if you have the right balls for the machine, it will pitch the correct speeds that you want with pretty good accuracy.

We love this pitching machine and batting cage for our 10 year old. He has gotten so much use out of it already. It wasn’t too bad assembling either! Great product and fast shipping!
