Brynje Expedition Jacket 2.0

Fantastic

I've used this as a top shell in the Arctic and as a rainproof in Iceland and the N of England. It's perfect and cannot recommend it enough. Whilst expensive, you're buying truly top range stuff.

Best Jacket Ever

I’ve unashamedly fallen in love with this jacket. After years of using a well known make of ‘winter’ shell jacket on ski tours I finally pushed the boat out and bought the Brynje Expedition Jacket. The only mistake I made was waiting so long. The jacket has had a fair test over 3 weeks around the arctic circle in Scandinavia and not once did I feel I couldn’t rely on this jacket. I heat up easily but the C-change hydrophilic membrane seemed to work plus there are good, long under arm vents. The hood is probably the best I’ve ever experienced and fitting my existing fur ruff was super easy. I really appreciate the extra length in the body and arms. As an added benefit that I like the jacket is rustle free and stretchy. Build quality is excellent. Ok it’s a bit heavy and bulky for most UK outings compared to other offerings but if it’s a winter mountain backpacking trip or all day gnarly walk where I want to feel secure, I’ll definitely be taking this along. Thanks to Rhodri for the advice and letting me try before I bought.
