Very Disappointed with My Experience
Hi Fluidfreeride team, I wanted to share my experience directly with you because my intention is not to leave a public negative review, but to give you the opportunity to understand what happened. I purchased my scooter at your Miami store, and at the moment of purchase I was never informed that I was buying an open-box or previously used unit. I simply walked into the store, trusted the recommendation, and bought what I believed was a regular product. Recently, I brought it in because I had a flat tire and needed the inner tube replaced. I also explained that the scooter had already left me stranded two or three times. I usually ride very short distances — around 1 to 1.2 miles — even though I was told the scooter had approximately a 20-mile range. The problem is that it suddenly shuts off without any warning. The battery indicator does not gradually alert me that it is running out; it simply turns off completely, and I have had to walk back home several times. Because of this, I no longer feel confident using it. When I dropped it off on Tuesday, I was told it should be ready by Thursday and that you would let me know. However, I never received any update or notification. Since nobody contacted me, I waited until the following Monday and went to the store myself. When I arrived, the scooter was still not ready, and it was only assembled quickly while I waited. What surprised me the most was being told afterward that I “should know” it was an open-box scooter and that the store only sells open-box units, while new products are sold online. As a customer, I don’t understand how I was supposed to know that if nobody explained it during the sale. I was also told the battery had problems. That is very disappointing because an open-box product should not mean a defective product. My understanding is that open-box means a returned item or display unit, not a scooter with a battery issue — especially with only around 200 miles of use. I have always liked the scooter and chose your store because I trusted your company. I just feel this situation could have been handled better, and I hope there is a fair solution.
