Flat obi belt : Plain / Deep purple and Light gray

Affordable duo-colour obi is excellent for beginners

I bought this duo-colour (deep purple and light grey) flat obi to go with my yukata with blue flowers. The texture is soft and smooth. It is half the width of a traditional Fukuro obi so it should be easier to tie. I like the duo colours because it's reversible and can be used as two obis to match different yukatas or to create a different style in the same yukata. This obi would make an excellent choice for beginners learning to tie an obi because the price is budget-friendly.
