I purchased this not because I need it now but in case I need it down the road. I think it's a must have if you collect Maratac watches.

I haven’t had to use it yet. I’m not crazy about the red crown that came with my pilot watch, so I might eventually have it swapped out.

Did the trick!

My large pilot watch had a loose and possible broken stem. I ordered the replacement crown, stem and tube assembly and had the watch repair people at a large local jewelry store here in Omaha do the repair. Just got my pilot watch back and it is like new again!
