Good Performance, Acceptable Scent

Performance: I'd place the performance of this soap in the "good but not elite" category. I haven't found it to be as good as the top tallow soaps like Barrister and Mann, but the lather is thick enough and long lasting enough to provide a comfortable and efficient shave. Scent: I've noticed that many of the reviewers tend top rave about this scent. However, it may not be the type of scent that knocks me off my feet. In my opinion, the scent lacks the type of top notes that really hit off the tub. The middle and base notes are pleasant, but perhaps overly subtle for my nose. Since the performance of the soap is good and the scent is quality (albeit not for me), I would recommend this soap.
