We used these for the first time in 2025. Oh my! What a difference they made in the end quality of our syrup. After using them again in 2026 we confirmed it was worth buying more.

Thin filters are grat; thick one unneeded

I make very small batches of syrup (boiling about 20 gallons of sap at a time). When I used the thick finishing filter it soaked up about 1/4 of my total syrup yield! For my next batch I didn't use it and just used the pre-filter at the end instead of the thick one, and my syrup came out totally clear and beautiful. I'll be using just the thin ones from now on.
