Annapurna Amber Organic Oolong Tea

Very special!

This amber oolong is so smooth, sweet, and does have the descriptors like caramel, etc!! I am definitely enjoying this tea and grateful for the growers and pickers. So glad I purchased this special tea!!!

Remarkably clear

I didn't really like this oolong the first time I had it, but after adjusting how I brewed it, I got some great results with it. Steeping 1g/10ml if doing gongfu style yields great results if you start with flash steeps, and you'll get many, many steeps this way. Sports notes of cocoa, has some slight malt to it, and a very pleasant fruity sourness I enjoy. The last note's more ingrained in to the leaf and isn't a funky taste, but a pleasant one that reminds me a bit of wine. I think trying to compare the flavor to teas from other areas does a bit of injustice to this tea, it stands out on its own and gives Nepal a great name in the tea industry. Very well balanced with a pleasant roast. A great daily drinker.
