Great safety add on

I recently bought a Dakine bag for snowboarding and this spine protector sounds like something that would be good to have. It fits perfectly into a special area into the backpack so it doesn’t take up any space. As far as I can tell (I don’t intend to test this out) it gives you great protection from a fall face forward into the snow. It lightweight so if you are worried about weight, the sense of having extra protection outweighs what you end up carrying!

Hope to never need it

I am currently using this with the Drafter 10L pack, and haven't had to put it to the test, nor do I ever hope to. It does add some weight and decreases breathability on the back, but that's a worthwhile tradeoff for safety. Plus its easily removed for less risky rides. Some other reviewers commented on the price and I'd say its worth it, and much cheaper than a spinal injury should you actually need to put it to the test.

Can’t wait to use!

Haven’t used yet. But have something simple for bike riding. Am stoked for the extra spine protection.
