Smashed Dying Plants, and Ghosting Customer Service! Second WORST succulent seller I've ever used.

My first order from Leaf and Clay was slow to get to me, but I had already placed a second order during a sale before the first order had arrived. Leap of faith for good prices, right? Well, had I known they were going to ship plants significantly smaller than the measurements (I see you guys grow smaller plants in larger pots to sell by the pot size rather than plant size. Very "gotcha" to the customers) I maybe wouldn't have bought from them. BUT that's not all! I had the pleasure of having around half of my plants in my first order haphazardly wrapped AND SMASHED in rolls of tissue and tape! How lovely of the people packing the order to CRUSH the plants before putting them in the box. Now the leaves can't fall off during shipping because they're already gone! It was also very cool (sarcasm) to get plants that were either on death's door, severely etoilated with a lack of leaves, or straight up with withered roots so they don't have any chance of recovery. But it's okay because they at least don't resemble the photos at all so the crushing disapointment was easier the second time around. I thought, "oh well, customer support will help me out with the super damaged plants and maybe I can fix the rest on my own!" But little did I know that the moment your plants are marked as "delivered" customer support takes that as the green light to GHOST you no matter how many emails you send or photos you provide to try and get help with the order. I will NEVER order from Leaf and Clay again. On top of that, I'm telling literally everyone I know to not do business here. On the plus side, at least they didn't appear to arrive with any pests. So hey, that makes them the second worst succulent seller I've ever used. The absolute worst sent plants with a huge mealybug infestation. So the bar is incredibly low.

I am quickly becoming a devoted fan of Leaf & Clay, and not just because scrolling all the plants on the website is SO addicting. My plants have always arrived in great condition, ready to plant. Packing is perfect. One gripe: I’ve had a couple orders come with either the wrong plant or missing one, but as soon as I let customer service know, they very quickly made things right. Overall, very pleased and happy to order again!
