This was an easy way to try a griddle, already being a BGE owner. I was worried the Large Egg would be too small to be useful but no, it’s a lot of fun. So far I love the combination of griddling and grilling at the same time while getting charcoal flavor. This is a high quality piece of steel.

Delayed delivery but kept informed & eventually received item. Easy to install. Seasoned it before using with grape seed oil. Turned nice & black. Now incredibly non stick, easy to clean & makes fabulous smash burgers etc. cooking on the egg was always easy but this insert brings whole new levels of control!!
