Thanks Hovr, for supplying the best floating shelf bracket available! We run a small, handcrafted furniture shop and the hovr bracket is our only go to for floating shelves! And the quick shipping when a hovr order is placed is very much appreciated!

One bracket went on Easy; the second one was a chore

I used the Classic bracket to hang 2 fireplace mantles. Each mantle was 3.75” thick and 62-66” long. The first one hung on the first attempt. Easy. The second was a struggle. It did not mate on many initial attempts. I took it down and belt-sanded a slight bow on one end of the mantle and then I sanded a very small ridge on the wall. Still wouldn’t fit. I took it down again and took the mail bracket off the wall and tried fitting the male into the female bracket on the back of the mantle. It was slightly tight on one end. I used a board against the bottom of the female bracket and hit the board with medium mallet blows over a 3 ft length until the 2 pieces fit easier together. Secured the male piece back on the wall and attempted again and it worked. Not sure what happened but not a good experience on the second piece.

I was able to install the bracket classic using only a hand chisel into my 4" thich salted birch mantle. It took a while to do but I love the result. Thanks Hovr for a great product.
