Will Replace an Older Pair of Sharptail Boots

My old pair of Sharptail boots are starting to show signs of wear after five hard seasons of grouse/woodcock hunting but will do at least one more season. So the new pair will be waiting for a bit to replace them. These boots have a great toe box and get comfortable AFTER a breaking-in period. A crease between the foot area and upper section tends to dig-in near your ankle until the leather softens. I like the sensible lug sole - not too aggressive- which just gathers mud when too aggressive. I always liked the LL Bean Upland boot until they "improved" it with a sole more suited for climbing mountains in Azarbijan to hunt Marco Polo sheep and replaced Gore-Tex with some cheaper miracle breathable membrane.
