After explaining my dilemma to the staff at Kevin's, they took over and arranged the delivery of the vest EARLY and packaged so BEAUTIFULLY! I'll never forget this rare and special experience. There is nothing like stout waxed canvas, “Tin Cloth” for serious hunting clothes, including bird hunting vests, especially where the weather is wet. I live in coastal Alaska and it seems like if it’s not raining then it’s snowing. If it’s not doing one or the other of those then, it’s doing both. Filson Waxed Canvas not only repels water but, it also resists thorns, sharp sticks and other miscellaneous snags better than any nylon, plastic or rubberized fabrics could ever stand up to. It is not cheap but in this instance, you get what you pay for, that is for sure.
