Unlike traditional metal shims that slide around (for adjusting dado stacks), these magnetic shims stay centered on the table saw blades. The range of shims sizes are excellent for achieving the desired fit.

I haven’t used them other than to try it on the stack I have, and so far so good. Maybe when I actually use the dado stack I can give a better opinion.
