I’m an owner of a 2012 BMW X1! Overall, the screen is amazing, however I have a couple of disappointments with the product, and future recommendations that I would like to share: 1. The quality of the iDrive controller knob that’s delivered with the screen for a non-OEM screen BMW X1 e84, is not good at all! The knob is loosely fitted in its frame, and there is a 1-2 sec delay when clicking a button to the feedback on the screen. 2. Also related to the iDrive controller, sometimes when you have to click a button several times for the feedback to register on the screen! 3. Would have loved to see some more start-up (boot) animations in the factory settings that mimic the new BMW cars in the market 4. For the price of 650$+, I would expect a much better quality iDrive controller. 5. Some of the power harness cables could be a little longer, like the iDrive controller female cable in the harness, and the main power male connector of the android screen. The reason is once you re-route the cables in the dash, you end up with a pretty tight fit before you connect everything to the back of the screen!
