WCS Shavette Straight Razor- Stainless

A very good value for the price! First shavette...

So I am an intermediate DE shaver. I have enjoyed the DE razors a lot, especially my de from WCS. This is my first ever experience with a shavette- I had been wanting to try one for a little while and figured for $15, how could I go wrong? With nothing to compare to of the same kind, I won’t say it feels like a $15 razor, but maybe a $20 razor. It’s a good starter shavette for sure! So far so good. Not quite as sturdy and steady as a safety razor of course, this is more of a ‘free hand’ style. You can get a very close shave, just takes a little practice(think of your first try with a DE razor!) The razor is very lightweight. Putting the blades in isn’t too tricky. It folds a little funny, so just be slow and cautious when closing so the blade does not hit the handle- the assembly feels a little loose in the closed(folded) position, but it feels settled when it’s in the “open” position for shaving. I especially like the technique of running it over a comb to trim hair. Can’t do that with a safety razor! Overall I’d say it’s a super value, and I’d recommend it for anyone interested in trying the shavette for the first time. Thanks again WCS! Always great service and speedy shipping.
