Having been an OBO user for nearly 3 decades I was getting unhappy with their high costs and a drop in quality and so I was looking to branch out. Being in the US means we are more restricted than other parts of the world for different brands but I was glad to find Savage Field Hockey. Before buying I had some questions and the staff at Savage were very quick and helpful in their replies. I have since ordered the new legguards, kickers and hand protectors and cannot be happier. They are so much lighter than my old Robo plus making movement around the goal so much quicker and the rebound is unbelievable and makes me feel like I have super powers. They do take some getting used to and I had to amend my sliding and kicking slightly to compensate but totally worth it. Another feature that I like is that after 6 months of using and in some very intense movement games the front toe strap has not come over my toes yet which was a common issue over 38 years with my old pads.
