A great introduction to Cubase

I am a hobbyist and novice when it comes to music and have been trying to get into Cubase for some time. I have a Yamaha Genos keyboard and an Arturia Keystep Pro and decided I needed to get help on how to bring these elements together to start creating music. My initial ambition is to try and recreate existing rock/pop songs and the Born To Produce Cubase course has provided a fantastic introduction to this powerful and somewhat overwhelming tool. It has provided a great grounding in all the fundamental aspects of Cubase such that I am now much more competent and proficient in using the tool and have started to build up my first song. The instructions are clear and it is easy to pause and skip back to really understand the detail and give yourself time to implement the steps being shown. A very worthwhile investment and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get started with Cubase. Also, the associated Facebook community is extremely helpful!

Beginners bundle

I`ve ben faced with a steep learning curve . The download for the sounds did`nt map to Cubase for nearly 2 weeks the file browser didnt show the files at all no kick drum etc, i had to install it all another way. which as an absolute beginner is frustrating i,m no spring chicken either. The Vital synth download would`nt work using my browser i had 3 days of trying to get that to happen eventually visited a forum and said use a different browser so if you use Firefox and it doesnt work try bing instead worked from the off. Regarding the tutorials themselves i`m really enjoying the way they are put together the music side i have no problems with its copying and moving clips loop tracks and getting used to the midi editors and file systems etc and all those ways of working have been really well explained. Thank you

I decided after a long 15 year break from using DAWS to get back into having a go with producing electronic music, as a therapy to help me regulate my adhd as well as a passion hobby. I got the beginners Cubase bundle as previously I’d only used Logic and FL studios. I know the very basics but with such a long break I needed help getting around again and came across YouTube videos from born to produce which pointed me towards the website. The course is broken down into easy to follow lessons that I can do and pause as I go along, allowing me to go back and check my understanding. This works great for me and my brain as I can get overwhelmed or miss details due to being distracted or overly hyper focused. I’m almost done with the first part and about to start mastering. Looking forward to some basic music theory for melodies next, again my knowledge is there just a bit basic and needing some direction. Glad I came across born to produce as I now feel reasonably confident using Cubase although there’s still a lot more in depth stuff I would like to learn and hopefully there’s a more advanced course I can do next.
