I am sure they will be effective and protect the bed cover

With a very determined dachshund the chewguards are the best investment to include with his small and medium beds. I had to replace the original mesh cover with the canvas and added the guards. He hasn't even tried to chew any of it. The only beds that won't end up being landfill.
