Omega 49 Professional Quality Shaving Brush - Red

Wonderful

I already have several brushes and unfortunately I find myself falling victim to "Acquisition Disorder" regarding DE shaving. Therefore - I bought this brush to compliment my ever growing collection, some which are rather awful. I already have boar hair brushes and the one I liked the most has a short knot BUT has a big handle. This brush has much longer bristles with a similar sized big handle. I did soak it over night in salty water as this gets rid of the slight odour that some natural bristle brushes sometimes come with and by morning I was ready to go. I use the "Lather on the face" process instead of the "Lather in the bowl" because on the whole I find it easier. Thirty seconds after using this delightfully soft and supple brush I was almost knee deep in a thick lather. Not the drop off your face bubbly kind but the stuff that looks and feels like whipped double cream. I used the Lemon scented LaBarbiera soap for my first go. A good combination. Normally on first or second use there is a bit of bristle shedding - but not with this. Blimey this brush is good and I must say - this is now my boar brush of choice. It is a seriously nice brush - It looks good, feels good and, rather importantly, works very well indeed. Why pay more?

Don’t see the need to spend any more

I can see why this is so highly recommended. After a quick shampoo to get rid of the slight odour out of the box, I soaked it overnight in the refrigerator and the next day proceeded to whip up a lovely lather, the brush already felt lovely and soft and has only got better with each subsequent shave.
